Chinese Universities Delegation at EBBS - Bulagaria

From the 17th to the 19th of March 2017 was held the Education Beyond Border Exhibition in Bulgaria. This event, Hongzhou Learning as an organiser, received great support from the Bulgarian Embassy in Beijing, Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Beijing Municipal Education Commission as well as the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria.
The Exhibition gathered 51 universities from all over the world and 112 representatives among which the Chinese universities delegation occupy a central place with 14 universities and 27 representatives participating at the Exhibition.
A total of 25 students, from the University of Sofia, the Confucius Institute of the University of Veliko Turnovo as well as some high school students, who, for the most part are learning Chinese helped us by providing translations and advisory services. With around 2300 students visiting the Exhibition, many questions were asked about studies in China.
During the exhibition, Mr Su Hongtao, Dean of the International Cooperation Department of the University of Geosciences (Wuhan), on behalf of the Chinese delegation gave to the present students a detailed introduction about the global situation and development of China’s higher education institutions, the Chinese delegation’s purpose at EBBS as well as the opportunities for Eastern countries’ students to study in China under the «One Belt, One Road » policy and finally a questions-answers session with the students’ parents.
Furthermore, the Chinese delegation also signed Memorandum of Understanding while discussing thoroughly about collaboration with 6 well-known Bulgarian Universities, among them the University of National and World Economy, the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, the University of Mining and Geology, the University of Forestry, South-West University as well as the American University in Bulgaria.
We are expecting more Bulgarian students to come to study in China.
